Dear all, It looks like this message might be the ice-breaker for the
Australasian section list server.  The Board of SCB-A warmly welcome
your input to this forum, so please feel free to use it!  Likewise
please feel free to encourage your conservation colleagues to sign up
for this service.   

 

News items requested for the upcoming News and Views section of Pacific
Conservation Biology and the SCB Newsletter.  Many of you might not be
aware of  the working relationship between SCB-A and PCB.  This News and
Views section of the journal is provided by the publishers, Surrey
Beatty & Sons, and the editorial board as a forum for people to post
items of interest for conservation scientists, managers, and policy
makers in the Australasian region.  Please make use of this opportunity
and forward any news items, editorial pieces, etc. to Nicky Nelson at
nicola.nelson at vuw.ac.nz.

 

Similarly, the Australasian section of SCB has the opportunity to
contribute items of interest for the SCB Newsletter which is distributed
to the global membership (currently about 13,000 members world-wide).
This is an excellent opportunity to get items of interest to the broader
conservation community.  Nicky Nelson is, again, the contact person for
any submissions.
